About Flashcard Maker Online
Last updated: September 23, 2026
Flashcard Maker Online lets you build flashcards with your own words and pictures, study them on screen, then print them — double-sided, properly aligned, or as cut-out sheets.
Who makes it
Joan Ramos — that's me. I build small free web tools, and I fell into it through a printables site called Mary's Printables.
I expected nothing much from it. Instead people wrote in: a teacher who'd found exactly the sheet her class needed, a parent using a chart with a child having a hard time, someone printing something the night before they needed it. What they valued was never the design. It was that something useful existed, worked at once, and didn't demand an account first.
The problem this solves
Printing is where every other flashcard tool falls over.
Making cards on a screen is the easy half. Getting them out of a printer so the answer lands on the back of the right question is the hard half — and it fails silently. You don't find out until you've cut up forty cards and discovered the backs are shifted by one.
So the double-sided alignment here is built properly and tested on real paper. That's the reason this site exists.
What you get
- Double-sided printing that actually lines up — backs match fronts, tested on paper, not just on screen
- Cut-out sheet layouts if your printer won't do duplex
- Your own images, not just text, which matters for languages, biology and anything visual
- Flip-card study mode for revising on a phone without printing anything at all
- No deck limit and no account
- Your material stays yours — what you type never reaches me, and I have no copy of it
One honest limit
Because you supply the content, how accurate your cards are is down to you, and I don't check it. For an exam, always work from whatever source your teacher actually set.
Something not working?
Write to [email protected]. Printing problems especially — tell me your printer and what came out wrong and I'll chase it down. A real person reads every message.
